A short-term visa entitles a person to stay in the Czech Republic/Schengen area for a maximum of 90 days during a 6-month period from the date of first entry. The visa application can be submitted only at the Czech consulate abroad and in most cases; the application is reviewed within 2 weeks from submission.

Documents required for the visa application:

  • Filed application
  • Passport
  • One passport sized photo
  • Document confirming the purpose of the stay in Czech Republic (varies depending on the visa type)
  • Proof of sufficient financial means during your stay
  • Information that ascertains the intention to leave Czech Republic/Schengen area before the visa expiry date
  • Proof of travel medical insurance
